In the core of our being, a silent guide,
A bridge of life, where mysteries reside.
The brainstem, a marvel, a conductor unseen,
Connecting the brain to a vast, intricate machine.

**Medulla Oblongata,** at the base it lies,
Commander of rhythms, where life never denies.
Breathing in symphony, heart's rhythmic art,
In the medulla's embrace, life finds its start.

**Pons,** a bridge above, a realm of grace,
Where breath finds its pace, in a delicate chase.
Reflexes dance in the pons' gentle sway,
A ballet of life in the quietest way.

**Midbrain,** perched high, a watchtower grand,
Eyes meet the world in a visual command.
Auditory whispers, a symphony's call,
In the midbrain's haven, senses enthrall.

Three realms entwined, a dance of precision,
In the brainstem's realm, life finds provision.
A relay station, signals traverse,
From brain to the body, a lifeline diverse.

Nuclei nestled, in sensory delight,
Motor movements orchestrated, in the silent night.
Consciousness guarded, alertness it weaves,
In the brainstem's embrace, where life conceives.

Breath, heartbeat, a silent regulation,
In the brainstem's symphony, life's foundation.
A poetic dance in neurons' embrace,
The brainstem whispers, in life's secret space.
